What is this "Affiliates Network"?

If you are reading this it probably means that you want to know a little more about this "Forum Affiliates Network".
It's not only the name of this forum, but also a way to create activity on your forum and advertise it at the same time!

How it works:

You have looked in the directory and found somebody to affiliate with.
You send him a personal message and mention that you want to become affiliated.
If he agrees to become affiliated you create a topic on your own forum about the other forum. And he'll do the same on his forum.
Give some information about the forum (the title, a description,...), write a review about it, ask the admin you want to affiliate with to write something about his forum,... Basically this is just something you have to agree about.
As long as you have a topic about the other persons forum it's fine.
You also have to create at least 10 posts on the other forum. And you'll get the same amount in return.
This is again a deal you have to make with the other admin.
Once the topic is there and you made 10 posts (and got the same in return) you are officialy affiliated.
Ofcourse you can keep posting on each others forum if you want.

That's how it works.
With getting affiliates you get new content and an advertising link on another forum!

How to join this network?

To join this "Affiliates Network" there are a few things to do though.

Create a category or subforum for your Affiliates
Because every forum you become affiliated with gets it's own topic, you have to create a place to put these topics.
To get the maximum advantage of becoming affiliated with other forums through FAN you should have a subforum where you place only your Affiliates through FAN.
When you put them in eg a "showcase" subforum where others can post their sites as well the forums you become affiliated with won't get as much exposure as when you give them their own place.
It's probably also a good idea to create a sticky topic in that subforum where you give some more information about the affiliates.

When you created this subforum or category you are ready to submit your site to the directory.
When we have checked that you have a place to put your affiliates we will approve your link in the directory.
Now you can start looking for other affiliates!
