hi everyone!

Can anyone please help me to figure out out to create a custom horizontal menu beneath the tabs in the version of the default smf layout seen here:
http://www.escape-ism.com?

I know how to make plain text links but those vanish in the dark background.  I need a way to make a menu with a background color/image (similar to what you have at the top of the forum, Harro)

So...help...?

I was also wondering about the possibility if simply producing a second row of the existing tabs...possible?
