Did you make backups of your template files before altering them?

First, it looks to me from the error that the template is messed up.

Second, could you please tell us where you pasted the code, if you altered anything else?

The more information you give to us the better we can help you out. Also as Miko said, did you backup your files?

Just remove everything you added.
And post the code you want to add here, and where you want it.
I'll see what I can do then Smile

in your style sheet there will be a spot wwere is states : "This is for adds"  you can put any add code there, i think there is a difrent place for the sides too.

Where did you get that?
First of all, the default SMf theme has nothing (by default) to support ads, unless you do it manually.
Second, even if it had, it's definatly not the style sheet. Stylesheets only contain markup, no codes for anything.

Well, first you must install the mod, then apply it, go to admin - click package's - click browse mod's then upload it from your computer, when you download the mod, just save it to a file you can remember it/  Then once it installs correctly, you have to apply the mod Big grin simply click "installed mods" an you will see what to do:  Here is a little information on this mod.

This version of the Ad Management mod brings a lot of new features to the table. Version 2.3 includes placement for “Skyscraper” ads as well as individual placement on threads and in between posts. You can also view reports on your ads to see how often they are getting displayed. New placements such as: in-between categories, after child board and after the last post have all been included
It can be found in the Administration panel under the heading “Configuration”. There is a new link there called “Ad Management” .
Clicking on this link will bring up the configuration screen for the Ad Management Mod. In here you will see 4 tabs, Edit ads, Add ads, Reports and Credits.

Read my post again Smile
I said that the default theme doesn't have any way to do ads by default. I'm aware that there are mods for that.
But once you installed a mod, you are not using the default default theme anymore.
