Hi Harro, Or anyone who might be able to help.

Here is a link on the SMF boards for a mod...
http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=624

would like for someone who understands just what is does to explain it to me . And give me some feed back on weather you think it is worth it.

My perception of what it is ...Where a bot or more than one posts rss feeds into your forum....But is it supposed to make it look like you have a person posting??....Am i on track??

PS what does this mean===>Posts are hashed and stored as a hash.
And what does this mean===>Requires fsockopen php function to be enabled

It's a bot that automatically creates new topics from RSS feeds.
I'm not entirely sure how it works though.
Personally I don't like them that much.
I've seen it in action (or something similar) on other forums, and they just create a bunch of topics that nobody will read or post in.

The "stored as a hash" is a way to prevent that you'll get the same "topic" multiple time.
If you got a text, eg "This is the topic text", and it's hashed it'll look eg like this "advbdfd".

And the fsockopen is a php function. You'll have to ask your host to know if it's enabled or not.

Currently there is even a bot in development that can reply to other peoples posts. But it's still in early beta stage as far as I know.
