Hi,

I  launched my forum some time ago. I already have some threads and posts and a personalised theme. Please tell me what you love and, most important, what you hate.

Forum review of Webmaster's Talks
The design
The desing is nothing special if you ask me.
But it's nice looking, a clean layout and easy on the eyes.
And that's probably the most important anyway.

The subforums
You definatly have enough subforums.
You've got 26 subforums, without counting the child boards.
But on the other hand I've got the feeling that you carefully chose most of them.

A few suggestions though.

Get rid of those child boards
Personally I would remove the child boards in "Web Design Discussion".
And rename that category to eg "Web and graphics design".

Would also remove the child boards in "General Coding".
They're almost empty anyway.

Same for the child boards in "Linux".
Think it would be better to explain in the description what you can post there.

You can always create those child boards at a later time again, when you already have enough topics to put in them.

Search engines
Does every searchn engine need its own subforum?
Don't know how many topics I can create about MSN search, but it's probably not much.
So to reduce your amount of subforums I would suggest this:
  • Search engines
  • Directories
  • Search engine optimasation
You can always use the description to say that you can also talk there about other services search engines give.
Like google adsense, adwords,...

Other
Just noticed that I don't have permission to see the memberlist.
Any reason why you don't allow it?
Also seems like you know what your talking about!
You seem to know pretty much about linux, webservers,.... stuff like that!!

Final opinion
You've got a nice looking forum.
You really seem to know what your doing, and that's very good!
Only "negative" thing I can see is the amount of subforums. It's a bit too much.
But in general you've got a nice forum that looks and feels professional (the same as your topics and replies!).
So keep up the good work!
