Easier to join FAN
I heard many times that joining FAN was actually a bit too complicated.
And I think it also prevented the growth of the network.
So from now on it'll be a bit easier to join.

Short overview of the required steps:
  • Add the logo
  • Create the subforum/category for the affiliates
  • Request membership

Once your membership has been approved your forum will be added to the directory, your membership will change to Full FAN-member, and you get access to the private boards.
In these private boards you can request affiliates then.
The concept of putting each others link on the forum and making 10 posts stays the same
But it's no longer needed to get a first affiliate before you can join FAN.
Once you requested membership, you are a full FAN-member.

A full overview can be found in How to become a full FAN member on the forum.

Affiliate requests
If you requested affiliates before, then please do it again.
I moved all the old request into an "archive". But this includes the request for a first affiliate.
So these members don't have access to those private boards.
If you already are a full FAN-member then you can create just a new request here

Showcase
I also added a showcase subforum.
You own a forum and want to show it? Do it there!
You do need at least 10 posts though (to prevent spam).
Go the the "showcase" subforum

Computer & tech forum
I also added a computer & tech forum where you can post any topics related to computer, technology, hardware, software,...
Go to the "Technology and computers" subforum

An affiliate here means another forum admin that will sign up on your forum and make 10 posts, and create a topic on his/her own forum with information about your forum.
You have to do the same then (create 10 posts on his/her forum, and create that topic).
So basically you both get a new member, 10 posts and advertising place on the other forum.
