Just having a look around here for some inspiration.  I'm not a new admin - but still struggling to come to grips with IPB and other site technical issues when the person with server access is a) clueless b) never around.

The forum I am an admin on has 1k active users 13+ and is a closed community connected to an MMO.    Off the top of my head I'd estimate that half of my staff is under the age of 21 - which generally is fine but sometimes throws up interesting scenarios when you have to wonder whether you or the whippersnappers are most out of touch with the situation. haha  (No, I'm not age-ist - the first Admin I worked with was more than half my age.) 

It's been an interesting ride, that's for sure!

I look forward to looking around a bit more.

I think it's rather obvious that I'm quite new to these boards, but not to boards in general.

I've been an admin/moderator for many forums before, mainly for video game forums though. I've had my forum for a good while, but it hosted a forum based roleplaying game which ended a few weeks ago. I recently re-opened it as it had originally been for: and Arts and General Discussion forum, and now I'm looking forward to sharing and learn some tips from other admins.

My name is Annie and i just wanted to say Hi, I've just joined basically to advertise my site.

Wanted to be friendly though and introduce myself 

PHP just generates the html dynamically.
So search engine don't care about that.
Only thing they do care about are session Id's in the url. It's better if you don't have those.

I'd like to put a drop down menu on my home page that links to 30+ other sites (using as a quick jump to some band pages on myspace). Does anyone know if I'd lose PR by doing that or is it no different than if I were to have 30+ regular text links on that same page.
