Recently added a new Mod... The installation didn't go as planned.

It terminated mid-way through...but part of the file still wrote to my sources.

As a result i have an error message permanently displayed in my shout box:

It was caused by the boardnews Mod.

How do i get rid of it?

I have no idea what its written to.. or what i need to change  Blush

If the mod didn't finish installing and you're wanting to get rid of it:

One thing I would suggest - is unzipping the package on your pc and look for the install xml or mod file.  Open it up with a text editor and search for all file names affected.

If you have backups of  your files you can simply overwrite those files with the backups.

or
If not, does your server host do nightly backups of your files?  If your does - like mine does --just access your daily backups - go as far back as you need to... find the template and/ or source files from that folder and overwrite your current files...
 or
Usually, when a packaged is installed from the smf admin panel - a backup folder is created in the packages folder for the affected files - you can see if one was created and dowload it and just overwrite your affected files.

or
If none of the above applies - you might have to manually remove the edits made by the mod from each file.... yeah.  Not Fun.  Hopefully it wasn't a huge mod.
